Ihr süßer Geruch und euphorisches High sind legendär. Bubble Gum ist eine widerstandsfähige, nicht allzu verzweigte, sehr einheitlich und mittelhoch wachsende, äußerst harzige Sorte. Ursprünglich von Growern in Indiana, USA, entwickelt, gelangte die Genetik in die Niederlande und wurde an zwei verschiedene Samenbanken weitergereicht. Beide haben daraus ihre eigene “originale Bubble Gum”-Sorte entwickelt.

Unsere Bubble Gum ist vom Aussehen und der Wirkung her eher sativabetont, mit einem charakteristischen süßen Aroma (erinnert sehr stark an süssen Kaugummi-Geschmack) und einem euphorischen High. Sie ist die einzige erbreine Sorte (kein F1-Hybride) im Serious- Sortiment und hat im Laufe der Jahre zehn Auszeichnungen erhalten.

Diese Sorte erhielt 4 Preise beim High Times Cannabis Cup, und noch mehrere bei diversen Cannabis-Wettbewerben in Spanien. Die wertvollste davon im Jahre 2006: Sie wurde vom Magazin „Soft Secrets“ zur „Pflanze des Jahres“ gewählt!

Legendary for its bubblegum sweet smell and euphoric high the Bubble Gum strain grow into a medium tall plant, usually not too branchy (sometimes tall) and produces compact, crystal covered buds. Plants grown from seeds are very similar to one another.

Originally the Bubblegum strain was developed by growers in Indiana, USA. Later this Indiana Bubblegum genetics came to the Netherlands and were given to two different seed companies. Each created their own ‘original Bubble Gum strain’ from that genetic material. Serious Seeds Bubble Gum is more sativa like in looks and effect, a sturdy and strong plant, with the characteristic, sweet smell (truly resembling a typical taste) and euphoric high; the original trademarks of this famous strain. The only inbred strain (not a F1 hybrid) on the Serious menu.

This strain has won 13 awards in High Times Cannabis Cups and similar festivals. 2004 and 2005 it won 5 local and national Cups in Spain alone! In 2006 the strain received its best award; it was named ‘Plant of the year’ by magazine ‘Soft Secrets’, because many Spanish growers won in local competitions in that year with the same plant: Bubble Gum. In September 2016 the feminized seeds of this variety have won the third place in the category Sativa at the Expogrow-Cup 2016 in Irun, Spain.

The legendary sweet strawberry flavor of this variety is well pronounced in plants grown from feminized seeds! The Bubble Gum is the motherplant of the legendary Strawberry-Banana produced by Crockett Family Farms. In November 2018 an extract from this strain  made by Nectars Collective has won the FIRST place in the category Hybrids at the 4th annual Jack Herer-Cup in Las Vegas, USA.
